THỬ NGHIỆM SINH SẢN CÁ NGỰA GAI (HIPPOCAMPUS
SPINOSISSIMUS WEBER 1913) TRONG PHÒNG THÍ NGHIỆM

Tóm tắt
Lần đầu tiên cá ngựa Gai (Hippocampus spinosissimus) được
sinh sản thành công trong phòng thí nghiệm. Cá ngựa Gai bố mang bầu thu ngoài tự
nhiên được đưa vào nuôi trong bể kính có sục khí và cho ăn ruốc đông lạnh hai
lần/ngày. Cá con mới đẻ được tách riêng và nuôi trong hệ thống nước hở với mật
độ 3 con/lít. Trong 2 tuần đầu cá con được cho ăn động vật phù du (Copepods) hai
lần/ngày với mật độ 3-5con/ml. Sau 15 ngày tuổi, cá con được thuần dưỡng bằng
thức ăn đông lạnh (Mysids) sau đó chuyển dần sang ăn ruốc đông lạnh cắt nhỏ hai
lần/ngày. Kết quả cho thấy, tỷ lệ sống của cá con 2 tháng tuổi đạt 48,83 ±
12,37 %. Chiều dài và khối lượng của cá con 2 tháng tuổi đạt 55,76 ± 3,50 mm và
0,76 ± 0,06 g. Tốc độ tăng trưởng chiều dài tuyệt đối của cá ngựa Gai 1 và 2
tháng tuối đạt 0,98 và 1,60 mm/ngày.

BREEDING EXPERIMENT OF SPINY SEAHORSE (HIPPOCAMPUS
SPINOSISSIMUS WEBER 1913) IN CAPTURE CONDITION

Abstract
Spiny seahorse (Hippocampus spinosissimus) was the first time
bred successfully in capture condition. The pregnant male from the wild were
collected and reared in glass tank with aeration and fed on frozen small shrimp
twice daily. Newborn juveniles were separated reared in open water system with
density of 3individuals/liter. Within first two weeks, the juveniles were fed on
live Copepods twice daily with density of 3-5 individuals/ml. Then, 15-day old
juveniles were weaned with frozen Mysid shrimp and switched to cutting frozen
small shrimp twice daily. The results showed that survival of two-month old
juveniles was of 48.83 ± 12.37%. The length and weight of two-month old
juveniles were of 55.76 ± 3.50 mm and 0.76 ± 0.06 g, respectively. Absolute
growth rate of one-month old and two-month old juveniles were 0.98 and 1.60
mm/day, respectively.
