FORMATION
OF FERRITES Fe-Zn-M (M: Cu, Mn, Ni) Nguyễn
Hữu Khánh Hưng, Hồ Quang Cẩm Nghĩa Faculty
of Chemistry-University of Natural Sciences Abstract The paper discussed the influence of active state of reagents on the formation of Zinc based ferrites with one of the following divalent metallic ions: Cu, Mg, Mn and Ni. These important complex ferrites have been widely applied in technology. The formation of these ferrites which prepared from oxalate salts of divalent metallic ions took place gradually after the decomposition of oxalate salts. The modification of active form of Fe(III) from oxide to oxyhydroxide didn’t cause any significant influence to the ferrite formation. The decomposition of oxalate salts activated the divalent metallic oxides and consequently reduced the required temperature for ferrite formation, the reaction occurred at the temperature below 5000C and for long time. When M2+ under form of oxalate and Fe3+ under form of a-FeOOH were used to fabricated the product, the particle size was greater than in case of a-Fe2O3. |
