Tóm tắt

 

Cá bản địa có ý nghĩa quan trọng đối với nghề nuôi thuỷ sản ở đồng bằng sông Cửu long. Một số nghiên cứu bảo quản đông lạnh tinh cá bản địa được tiến hành tại Trung tâm Quốc gia giống Thuỷ sản nước ngọt Nam bộ, Cái Bè, Tiền Giang. Mục tiêu là (i) lưu giữ lâu dài nguồn gen của các loài cá quan trọng,  (ii) cung cấp tinh được đông lạnh khi thiếu tinh tươi. Các loài được nhằm đến là cá Tra Pangasius hypophthalmus, cá Hô  Catlocapio siamensis, cá Mè Vinh Barbonymus gonionotus  và Labeo chrysophekadion. Kết quả bảo quản đông lạnh tinh các loài cá nói trên được trình bày và thảo luận.

 

 

 

CRYOPRESERVATION OF SOME INDIGENOUS FISH SPERM IN THE MEKONG DELTA OF VIETNAM

Abstract

 

Indigenous fish are important for the inland freshwater aquaculture in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam. Several research on cryopreservation of sperm of indigenous fish were conducted at the National Breeding Center for Southern Freshwater Aquaculture (NABRECSOFA), Cai Be, Tien Giang, Vietnam. The aim was (i) to long-term preserve the genetic materials of important species, and (ii) to provide the cryopreserved sperm whenever the fresh sperm is unavailable. The target species were the river catfish Pangasius hypophthalmus, the giant barb Catlocapio siamensis, the silver barb Barbonymus gonionotus and the Labeo chrysophekadion. Results of cryopreservation of sperm of these species were presented and discussed.
