Ba hợp chất diarylheptanoid mới, diospongin A-C (1-3), được cô lập từ rễ cây Dioscorea spongiosa, cùng với ba hợp chất lignan đã biết (4-6). Cấu trúc của chúng, bao gồm cả cấu hình tuyệt đối, được xác định bằng phổ NMR, các biến đổi hóa học và phổ CD. Trừ diospongin A (1), tất cả các chất này đều có hoạt tính ức chế quá trình loãng xương do hormon tuyến giáp gây ra trên mô hình nuôi cấy xương.

Abstract:

Three new diarylheptanoids, diospongins A-C (1-3), were isolated form the rhizomes of Dioscorea spongiosa, together with three known lignans (4-6). Their structures, including absolute stereochemistry, were determined by analyses of NMR data, chemical conversions and CD spectrum. The isolated compounds, except diospongin A (1), exerted potent inhibitory activities on bone resorption induced by parathyroid hormone in a bone organ culture system.
